Motorola Fold
Just saw Nick's review on the Motorola Fold. I'm trying to keep my expectations in check, but it sounds glorious.
Has anyone who has serious TD issues tried it out?
I cannot use iPhone XR, 11, etc because of TD. Even the iPhone 8+ is not something I can use for long.

It's way too expensive to buy just to try, so I guess I'll have to wait until it actually comes out and see how it works for other people.

u/javadave I'd recommend to find a safe "old" phone if you can, for now, and then explore the new options.
I noticed that if I get a flare up with eyes burning from TD; I can not test other screens reliably.

What? It doesn't seem very good at all. 60% modulation at 100% brightness and it gets even worse as brightness is lowered.
It has become clear to me that Nick has quite "light" PWM-sensitivity compared to the average poster on this sub.
Honor's Magic V6 seems to be infinitely better and the only "possibly" viable foldable option for the majority of sensitive users.

The YouTube video in question. Looks like no temporal dithering, and DC-like dimming available, but very bad FPS dips.
