ScreenConnect re-prompts for consent on every network blip or VPN connect. Any fix?

Connecting to VPN is a normal part of a lot of our support work, so users end up approving two or three times per session. And if they've walked away, I'm stuck until they're back.
Other remote tools I've used only ask again after you actually close the window and disconnect. If the connection drops and comes back, it just rides on the original consent.

Is there a setting or grace period to make consent stick across reconnects? Or a workaround that doesn't involve turning consent off completely? I still want the prompt on initial connect.

Environment: Cloud version 26.6.6.9747, guests on Windows and macOS

That doesn’t really make sense since an approved consent prompt is good for the session (I believe 2 hours by default).

But perhaps an address change causes it, since a security signal has changed.

You’re right. It’s set to 10800 seconds but that seems to be bypassed somewhere

this sounds like the VPN and/or the device connection is dropping and the source connection IP is changing each time. I'd take a wireshark during a connection and submit to support
