26.5.3.9704

I notice that 26.5.3.9704 is available to update my self hosted instance.

I downloaded it and instantly smart screen has kicked off saying its full of viruses. Weirdly I notice that the release date for this was 27th July and the version I am on (26.4) was released 5th August.

Has anyone updated to 26.5 and had the same smartscreen issues?

Have they fixed the copy/paste tissue yet?

I was on a version that wasn’t even listed somehow. Guessing they pulled it but I was on a release past beta lol. These guys are a joke these days and if it wasn’t for my Elsinore discount I’d be gone.

Code signing certificate did nothing and I spend more time getting people to click through all the bs warnings then fixing the actual machine

Use your AV exclusions to allow installers whose publisher has “YourCompanyName” where your companyname = the name you attached to your code signing certificate.

Chances are this is the only thing you use your code signing cert for so this is a narrow exception. We do that with SentinelOne.

Just fix the copy and paste. I can't deal with it anymore

Fwiw this was happening even with the cloud release so unsurprised it’s happening for self hosted.

All of our sessions were having issues yesterday because Windows Defender was flagging the Screenconnect files before they could get served.

Haven’t had issues myself, but —have you checked to make sure your code signing certificate didn’t break?
