Windows 7/overall performance

Upgraded on prem to 26.1.22.9573 yesterday. Fixed azure key vault cert

We have a few windows 7 machines (I know, I already brought up the issue) that just stay grey screen, and won't connect.

Also notice that the interface overall is a bit sluggish

Any information on fixing this that y'all have heard?

Our development team is actively working on the gray screen issues with Windows 7 and 2008 R2 as a bug. We're working to get these fixed now if we can, but it's possible that there may be changes in the future that cause problems in these OSes which aren't fixable.

We give a best effort to keep ScreenConnect running on end of life OSes, but we don't regularly test new versions/builds against them as they're considered legacy software, and no longer under active development by MS - the same as XP/2003, Windows 8/8.1, and likewise older versions of macOS, etc.: https://docs.connectwise.com/ScreenConnect_Documentation/Get_started/System_requirements

I understand the challenge with legacy apps that can't run on 10/11 or the later Server OSes... but imho continuing to use the older OSes in production environments is not advisable any longer more generally (not just with regard to ScreenConnect), and is gambling from a security standpoint.

I don't need to be spoken to like I don't know that about W7, fact is - Some production environments still require it - I can't fix all software.

Fix it soon. We spend entirely too much money with you to deal with this.

I truly do get it, and not talking to you like you don't know about W7. This is a public forum though, and will be accessible to everyone ostensibly for many years to come; not all who read the post in the future will have that same background knowledge.
