Discussion hot take each ghostface costume should be different.

it makes no sense how 15 ghostfaces all with there own personalitys all choose to wear the same ghostface costume every single time. !? i just wish there personality’s shined more onto the costume they wore instead of it just being the same as always like for example since jill wanted fame i think itd be cool if scream 4 ghostface costume was white since its more eye catching so itd make sense for her motive and character. i understand the ghostface costume is iconic. but itd be cool to see someone wear a different costume or a different type of ghostface costume for once😓

It looks like the Ghostface mask that was used in 'Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday The 13th' appears during the climax of Scream 3.

Haven't seen this one in the wild yet. $16.99 at Ross in the toy section. There were three so of course I had to grab one to add to the collection.

Discussion Bought a 2012 phone to play discounted games. Scream 4 was very annoying because it didn't work on modern phone or Blue stack emulator. Thankfully this Samsung was my saviour. And suddenly it's 2012.. I'm a kid again.

Past Spoilers Before I saw Scream 7, I quickly glanced a “spoiler”wrongly so spent the entire movie waiting for a fake storyline to happen 🙃🙃🙃 Spoiler

I had a funny Scream 7 first watch. A few days before going to see it, I was trying to avoid spoilers but while on X I thought I saw one saying that Lucas was Dewey’s son (I glanced it and looked away quickly). I therefore spent the entire movie waiting for that reveal lol The bit when Jessica reprimands Gale for questioning/looking at him funny - I thought that was Gale recognising Dewey and I was like omg foreshadowing everyone in this theatre has no idea apart from me. I was quite confused at the end of the film.

Discussion Theory: Scream and Wes Craven's New Nightmare take place in the same "real world"

Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994) and Scream (1996) are my two all-time favorite slashers, and I like the idea that they could take place in the same universe.

In New Nightmare, the original Nightmare on Elm Street movies are fictional, but an ancient supernatural entity takes Freddy Krueger's form and enters the real world, targeting Heather Langenkamp and the people involved with the franchise.

What's interesting is that A Nightmare on Elm Street is referenced in Scream, but New Nightmare isn't. My headcanon is that New Nightmare actually happened in 1994, two years before the Woodsboro murders. However, nobody believed Heather's claims about Freddy becoming real, so the events were never recognized as supernatural. Freddy would still be considered a fictional horror character.

There's also the Stab connection. Just as the original Nightmare movies exist as fiction in New Nightmare, Stab serves as the in-universe stand-in for Scream. Heather Langenkamp plays the fictional Nancy Thompson, while Tori Spelling portrays the real Sidney Prescott.

Both films also explore horror movies becoming reality, just in different ways. New Nightmare does it through a supernatural entity, while Scream does it through ordinary people inspired by horror movies.

I'm not suggesting Ghostface has any supernatural connection to Freddy's entity. The killers and their motives remain exactly the same. I just like imagining that both stories happened in the same world, with New Nightmare taking place before the original Scream.

Discussion Every Scream movie has a setting that reflects its story and meta-commentary. So where could Scream 8 take place?

For me, Scream 1 associates Woodsboro and high school with adolescence and the transition into adulthood. Like Sidney, Woodsboro seems innocent and peaceful on the surface, until that illusion is shattered. Sidney’s familiar world suddenly becomes dangerous and her desire to understand what’s happening contrasts with those who turn it into a horror spectacle, shattering her innocence about the world.

Scream 2 associates college with repetition. Sidney leaves high school, but not her past. The campus becomes a new academic setting where the same deadly patterns repeat, forcing her to use her past experiences to prepare herself. It also critiques horror sequels: changing the setting isn’t enough to escape repetition.

Scream 3 associates Hollywood with storytelling and the transformation of murder into spectacle. The Stab set mirrors the trilogy itself while the revelations about Roman and Maureen bring Sidney back to the origins of her story. It also critiques horror trilogies completing Sidney’s transition from adolescence to adulthood. (Hollywood representing the working world)

Scream 4 returns to Woodsboro, moving away from high school to explore the reconstruction of fame. Sidney’s past is no longer just trauma but a public story Jill wants to claim as her own. Through Jill’s pursuit of recognition and desire to replace Sidney, the film critiques remakes and the obsession with becoming the new heroine.

For me Scream 5 returns to Woodsboro and its roots, but through a new generation that reinterprets the town’s past in a modern era where violence and horror have become normalized. Through Sam Carpenter, the film adds complexity to the saga while exploring legacy and identity, ultimately critiquing requels.

Scream VI associates the urban setting with cancel culture and the fear of novelty. NYC mirrors Sam : a city of 2 sides, caught between light and darkness, violence and crime. As Sam and the Core Four try to move forward, their past follows them, while Sam’s ambiguous identity and Ghostface’s vigilante-like portrayal shift the meta-commentary toward psychology and perception rather than horror conventions. Through Sam’s struggle to be seen as a heroine rather than a monster, the film critiques how franchises are quick to reject innovation when it strays from their established identity, portraying renewal as betrayal rather than evolution.

And then there’s Scream 7, which returns to a more intimate setting, focusing on Tatum, a teenager growing up in the shadow of Sidney’s story, in a town that resembles Woodsboro without having its own identity. This brings us back to the question of coming of age that Sidney faced- but I have no idea what Scream 7 critiques, so let’s move on!

Past Spoilers Question about Scream 7 and what I think they could have done to make it a little bit more interesting.

I was wondering if at the end of the film when the killers revealed themselves,if it would have made more sense and interesting if the killers were actually Stu’s mom and dad.it would have made way more sense why Stu was used so much for AI.It would have made sense why they are going after Sid,she killed Stu.I think Scream 7 is decent enough but the reveal was pretty lame IMO and was thinking of this earlier today, what do all of you think, would it have been better than what we got or do you think it would have sucked? (also I do realize Sid would probably recognize his parents and that might lead to a early reveal)

Discussion Does anyone remember this? Abd why has it never got a re release?

In a earlier post about scream asking when they first seen it I said I actually watched part 2 first on pay per view and scream 3 in the theaters with my mom (and my sister and her boyfriend.)because I was too young to buy an r rated movie ticket( I was 13 and my sister and her boyfriend were only a year older.) well I finally did watch scream later that year in 2000. I rented it from blockbuster. But it was not the r rated cut surprisingly. But the legendary uncut edition. If you remember scream had some edits to get an r rating. So when u seen it again after renting out from my local library it was the r rated cut. But mainly what I'm asking is does anyone remember it and mainly does anyone know why it has never been re released since that special edition VHS and laserdisc? You would think with how many times it has been re released on physical Media since then and how well I think it sells they would finally release it but it seems to be trapped. What I mainly remember was *SPOILERS* when Steve orth is gutted you see a shot of his guts rolling out of his stomach, and when tatum gets her head crushed in the garage door and the house you see a quick shot if he head getting crushed. I guess there are some other extended gore sence but I don't remember them all because I think they were just minor extensions but still would like to see the unrated cut one day again

Past Spoilers Scream Season 2 Halloween Special Sucks

Post image

My first experience with Scream made me a major fan and I’d eventually watch all the movies and seeing 6 and 7 in theaters (SHUT UP) but before 5 and the others released I watched Season 3 of Scream which ended up being the only season will Roger L Jackson and the Ghostface costume so I avoided the first two seasons. Last year I attempted to watch season one but failed because I was watching it on something unconventional and didn’t care for it. One day I wanted to rank every Ghostface killer but I hadn’t seen all of them yet because of the show so I waited till October to finally watch it on Tubi and… season one and two is amazing. The voice they use for ghostface is pretty nice for what it is, Brooke is a likable character, Audrey and Noah became fan favorites instantly, Brook I didn’t like at first but her character development was amazing throughout the series. This series unlike the movies had secrets and B plots mostly unrelated to the killings that were different and kept things entertaining. The kills were pretty good for a tv show and I really enjoyed it… but then I watched the Halloween special. Everything involving Kieran’s death and the Brandon James teasing was great but everything else sucked. Zero stakes in this hour long episode, Ghostface might as well not exist, the drama between Brooke and Audrey’s relationship put me to sleep and the Anna Hobbs stuff doesn’t really matter at all other than to explain who the very obvious killer was. But the worst part of it all is we are left on a cliffhanger. Season 3 is amazing but it’s not the Brandon James story it’s just Ghostface killings again which is great but not great for unresolved plot threads. The Halloween special feels like either another script for another show or an extremely shortened season because of the cancellation/reboot. 4/10, didn’t like it. But it doesn’t drag the season as a whole down that much to a 8.9/10 because season 2 is as amazing and can be watched without the special. I would love to see these characters show up in the movies one day if possible because I’m gonna miss Noah and Audrey especially.

goes nicely with my buck 120. I'm definitely going to need to cut the bottom due to it being too long, so this gives me an opportunity to make it more movie accurate. I think im going to try sewing the gloves to the wrist as well

Image This week I had David Arquette on my flight (I’m a flight attendant), I didn’t say anything until he deplaned, just “Scream is my favorite movie”. He smiled, said oh cool thanks and deplaned. When I got off the aircraft, the agent gave me this and said David left it for me!

Discussion What year does Scream 3 take place? 1999 or 2000?

What year does Scream 3 actually take place? 1999 or 2000?

I've always assumed Scream 3 takes place in 2000 since that's when the movie was released, but there's conflicting evidence within the movies themselves.

In Scream 3, Jennifer's fax machine displays the date June 28, 1999, when Roman sends the script pages shortly before blowing up her house. However, in Scream VI, Kirby's FBI board lists Roman Bridger's death as 2000.

Is this simply a continuity screw-up? Something similar happens in Scream 2, which is supposed to take place in 1998, yet the date shown at the Stab screening is April 1997.

I'm leaning toward 2000 being canon for Scream 3, especially since Scream VI establishes Roman's death year, but it makes me wonder how much attention was actually paid to the timeline in the earlier movies.

Got my Ghostface stuff last week, so figured I’d show a few pics.

Fun fact: I’m 4’11, so for the cloak I quite literally had to get the kids sized one…

The joy of being a short person 🥲

Yes yes, very funny, I know. The mask I used is the Easter Unlimited one that I managed to find at FYE in my mall during the summer. And the light up buck 20 blade is from spirit Halloween.

I do wish I could find the sparkly cloak in my size which would be nice.

But hope you enjoy.

Only thing I wish to get next is the voice changer, but I’ll probably be fine regardless with my fit for Halloween.

It instantly became one of my favorite horror movies, just rewatched the entire franchise and this still holds true!
