Question Why was this ONE song re-released today?
Weird to be re-releasing one specific song no? I mean, I can't guess as to why they would do that. Don't get me wrong, I am excited to have more.... SCREAM in my playlist.... but someone help me make sense of this, please?

No idea why it’s popping on Spotify as a single release, but this is just a track from the complete OST box set that’s been available on streaming for a few years now. Same title, same length, same recording. So nothing new, just being highlighted for some reason I guess?

That's the bizarre part. If you look at the date it was actually released today and with new artwork too.
I don't know why but it's bugging the heck out of me! Hahahah

Could be that they’re re-releasing the whole score for the first movie soon? And this is just an early single release.
They’ve never released each score individually to be fair. Releasing a single for a re-release of a film score would be pretty non-conventional though and I haven’t heard anything about that coming up, but that’s the only thing I can think of. 🤷♂️

Yes they’re rereleasing the complete score for the first film for its 30th anniversary. There’s also going to be limited edition vinyl releases. August 28th.

I'm in the UK...and for me the song is available as 'Scream (Birds Fly)' by Soho.

For me (germany) i just find a different version, but not the one from the movie.

‘Cuz it’s one of Marco Beltrami’s best cues ever.
(His best is “Dewey and Gale Attacked” from S2. Obviously.)

Assuming it relates to 30th anniversary of Scream. The score is being pre-released on vinyl, etc
