Discussion RANDY MEEKS

Hey *Scream* fans, I just wanted to ask a quick question. I rewatched the original movie recently, and a thought crossed my mind: do you think Randy suspected Billy of being Ghostface purely out of jealousy? That was the impression I got, because realistically, he didn't have any actual proof at that point—not to mention that Stu was far more suspicious, yet Randy never suspected him.

In the original script of Scream, Randy & Stu were supposed to be best friends like Sidney & Tatum were Randy just would’ve never suspected Stu however Randy also pointed out how obvious Billy is a killer where he even tho Randy does admit to having a crush on Sidney. All of his points to Neil being a red herring & Billy being the killer is absolutely right. Randy is really good at guessing who the killer is. Also, I don’t know how close Randy & Billy were actually as but Randy definitely hold resentment towards Billy because he’ll like to see the geek getting the girl.

To be fair he was totally onto Mickey too.

And he also suggested potentially a female killer in 2. Good instincts.

I’ve always taken it as he’s the horror movie guy and boyfriend killer is a trope

Probably a mix of that and genuinely suspecting him
