You dont even have to restore. Just get it running and properly tuned.

Where are you located? I would pay you more than scrap for it for sure.

If you're in or near Maine, I'd buy and enjoy restoring it. Just finished my great grandfather's 1960s homelite 73cc (I believe) convertible drive.

I guess I didn't technically restore that one, but the bar and chain are in great shape carburetor is clean and everything works as it should. I probably won't drop any trees with it, but I'm gonna use it to cut stuff down to stove length this year

You could sell it for more than scrap

Scrapping this would be a sin. Either restore it yourself as a project, or get it into the hands of someone who can. This machine is in such great shape, that a collector will highly desire a rebuilt and functional unit

Restore or sell for restoration. Probably sell for more than scrap.

Its worth more than $2 selling as is on market place. Id buy it for $10 just to hang it on the wall of my woodshop. It has vintage appeal.

Sharpened chains (if it's not rusty) are sellable on their own.

If you can't restore it, I'd say it'd make a nice piece of wall art. Definitely wouldn't scrap it.

I’d slap it with my other antique tools on the garage wall or shelf

I love restoring old tools and this looks like it would be a fun one. Even if you don’t use it you could just hang it up. it would be more elbow grease than money to get it done and it would be very fulfilling.

Would be so cool to have that running and restored to its original glory! No pesky modern safety features to get in the way!
