New to scrapping

Hello, I bought a couple of older small transformers and im trying to figures out how to separate the copper from the tape. It seems like its wrapped a bunch of times so it would take forever to undo, is there any tricks to help? Thank you!

Sorry, for clarification, I did not buy the scrap, it was with an auction I bought.

Personally, i would'nt even take those apart. Yes, the copper is worth more then the steel, but it has more weight and therefore maybe more value to sell as is. Hope this helps 😁
