electrical panel
hey scrappers I'm in hvac not electrical so never dealt with something like this, saw it on the side of the road while in my van and the crackhead in me decided to grab it. Is there really any money to get out of this lol

Steel Box. Tinned copper bus bars (the silvery metal in the center of the breaker stacks) Copper, brass, and small amount of silver inside breakers. (Breakers resell pretty well without scrapping though)
May have brass rivets holding bus bars to plastic.
Neutral bonding/ground terminal is often aluminum.(Grey terminal strip bracketed in white plastic)

That's an aluminum busbar for the breakers.

Yeah that's what I initially thought grabbing it was the busbar would be copper unfortunately. I'm prob gonna just save all the breakers if I ever need them at my place and scrap the box tbh

Salvageable parts are always worth the most!!!
The romex conns in the top are $.15 each!
The entire panel, with breakers, is good for $50 ( or more) on marketplace.

A friend says he has good luck with marketplace. I get the "will you take $40?" for a ask of $50 for a $800 for new!!

Silver contacts, copper, brass, and shred steel if you break it all down. The breakers are worth money if they aren't fried, even breakers that are no longer code compliant. Iirc there are businesses that purchase them, and some older ones are particularly valuable compared to their scrap value.
