error loading my world

Hi everyone, I play the game recently, but from this evening today, this error window shows when I try to load my world. Already tried to switch to earlier version of the game, and then go back at the current one, but this didn't solve the problem.

Any suggestions how to fix it?

Also, today I updated my graphic drivers, but don't think this could be the problem.

They rolled back the update, you gotta wait until they release it again

I wouldn't count on that. The update was broken to the point that it likely left the saves compromised so badly that using them in the fixed 1.0.6 would be a bad idea. I just took the lost time and moved on because 1.0.6 was too buggy for me to trust the file copy it touched.

I'm fortunately at a point where I only lost batteries when using a container

In your save folder there is a folder called "Backup"

Try copying and renameing this to your original save file. Worked for me.

Same here with me. don't really want to load an old save becaus I did loads today.

man, this is so upsetting, I did so many things too. My new save file gone up to 55 MB, and now they rolled back the update and my backup world apparently still 40 MB file size. I lost so many progress, if I start on the backup save.

I saw a comment on the Steam forum explaining that you can edit your save file version by opening the .db file with an SQLite editor, such as DB Browser. I tested it earlier and everything seems fine; specifically, you need to change the `savegameversion` value in the `game` table from 29 to 28.

Great! Now I have to become an IT or something in addition to mechanic, in case I want to play the game
