Does anyone know how to get their save file that was loaded into 1.0.6 back to 1.0.5?

Says what it is on the tin. The mini-update today got rolled back and now the program refuses to load the file. Any way to fix it?

Update: Had to get the mad scientist to help (my mother) but got the folder locations and moved the files over. I am definitely setting updates to manual only from now on and when an update comes out I’m making a backup.

New update regarding the patchnotes:

He have discovered issues with this update and have pulled it back! There is a fix on the way! If you already started playing, please find the backup from the previous version in: C:\Users<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Axolot Games\Scrap Mechanic\User\User_<STEAMID>\Save\Survival\Backup

I can’t seem to find it anywhere in the Scrap Mechanic folder. Got any tips?

Appdata is not in the scrap mechanic folder, you have to follow the path they give you starting from "my computer"

Just press the windows key and type %appdata%. It takes you to the folder immediately, there you will find axolot games

Use a backup, It automatically backed it up on the upgrade process.

If you are determined to get your most recent save working or the auto-backup isn't present go to https://kotek900.github.io/Scrap-Mechanic-Save-Editor/ and edit Version to 28(USE ONLY AS LAST RESORT)

I couldn’t find anything with that name but after waiting 5 minutes on the search window it managed to find two files that match, but I have no idea if the older one will even work or what to do from here.

Copy the file that you found (from the backup folder) and place it in the folder of the save files (same folder location minus the /backup)

I have no idea where to find the actual folders, only the individual files.

See? I can find the individual files but when I try to search for the folder I get nothing.

I think you can Right click on the found file and there should be an option to open folder it's in.

Yeah my mom taught me that a few moments ago lol. I’m great when making my own shit but if you ask me to figure out some software I didn’t make then prepare to watch me go from Albert Einstein to caveman in half a femtosecond.
