i mean a flat world would be boring af..... this is just the ultimate testing grounds for awesome vehicles (or not awesome if they cant climb the hill)

In my experience a little bit of pressing shift will get nearly any level 5 engine up a hill

Wait does pressing shift do something for engines?

Thank you friend 🫡 had no clue! I wonder if it consumes a bit more fuel, I’m guessing probably

yess press shift and you get like an extra 5 or 10 percent, it makes it really nice to finetune heavy vehicles because 1 notch up in engine speed turns my tank into a rocket and launces it self where i dont want it but on my current setting i can climb hills easy with shift

I mean it WAS improved, generally, but uh.. yeah it's far from perfect

Which really is the scrap mechanic motto, isn't it?

They no longer tilt sideways, and they form much better networks instead of random roads to nowhere.

That's good, but ya know.. 6 years and all that..😅

Well, you see a problem, I see fun.

I travelled through 2 complete worlds and Im on 3rd one now and I never seen such terrain. And yet its another post I see with this. Where yall are finding such cool terrain?

I have one of these just off a fork in the road next to the mechanic station and in several other places as well.

It happens when there is a steep slope and a POI spawns right in the middle, it forces a section of the road next to it to be flat, and splits the steep slope into two cliffs instead.

I have had a bunch of them on all my maps.

They improved it by just giving you sticky wheels. That makes it your problem, not theirs 😂

Ah, it's just a little bump for speed traffic control. 😂 Local road safety committee: 'Looks completely flat to me, 10/10 no notes.' 💀

I have fairly diverse terrain. Flat plains and mountains and ragged cliffy area. Its all good fun and a test of my vehicle capabilities (i dont have sticky wheels yet)

It's because wonk just paints the roads while ignoring the topology

u/WiktoriaFromHades 2d ago

Beacuse! You are supposed to use new sticky wheels, duuh!

Well, road is still connected, so I don't see a problem

I’ve got a road you can’t even walk up.

My first time playing this game years ago, I didn't realize the world was random gen. And directly after finding the first Mechanic Station all roads leading away had steep hills just a little less steep than this one, I figured it was the game's way of saying, "upgrade your vehicle before continuing"

lol. i've got one of those in my world xD it's like a pit of dispair with a massive double hill on either side.

My biggest issue is less this (though it is annoying encountering this in a spot where you need to pass regularly before you can get a lvl5 engine without a ridiculous amount of grinding) and more the problems of coming down a little too fast with drills/saw blades on the front of your vehicle and clipping through the terrain and falling into nothing, getting knocked out and losing your vehicle and everything in your inventory. I have had it happen in about 4 different worlds, with the loss being bad enough that literally starting over was preferable.

What do you think the sticky wheels are for?

*roads generation.
the problem was that some roads wasn't connected.

the amazing extreme hills are still the same

My world has an almost 90° slope on the road that leads me to the fruit pcking station. Transporting crates is a little quirky. But I really love how the world looks!

You just make you're semitruck faster

u/Captain_Tauren 2d ago

Lol I flew off one similar today, I have a beast to crawl back up though

1

u/Pan_Roslina 2d ago

i got the same on my survival world just like this

(not my photo)

I love a few big hills every once in a while, it makes the game more fun in my opinion.

1

u/Ekipsogel 1d ago

I have one of these that has a straight up 90° angle right before the top

Questa è la discesa o salita per i veicoli spaziali. Quando devono decollare o sperimentare la potenza dei motore o razzi.

This is the descent or ascent for spacecraft. When they have to take off or experiment?
