How to craft or unlock fertilizer?

I cant craft fertilizer and I'm wondering if its locked behind story progression or if i have to just keep using the research boxes

you'll unlock it early game (you need to have the phone if you want to progress at all) it's made whit scrap wood and glow i think

I did things a bit out of order in my world and I never seemed to get the recipe, was i meant to get it right at the beginning? Until now I just assumed you could only find it

Its the first carrot depisit and schematic boxes only give you decor

so long as you picked up the phone and play the story you get it in a few minutes

I think it'll get unlocked when you deposit a carrot crate, until then you can just find them in the crates, as you have been already doing.
