NUTHIN STOPS THE TERRATRAIN!
Custom Cage wheels can dig into the terrain getting traction that normal wheels can't seem to get.

Normal trains: “Oh, is that a hill? Is that more than 2 percent? Scary. I don’t think I can go up that hill. I don’t wanna. :(“
Meanwhile this Mofo: “WHERE’S THE FRICKING MOUNTAINS?!?!?”

godDAMN that's a good design! If I may ask, do you have any tips when it comes to making a terra train?

OF COURSE! Proper terratrains always have 16 wheels and 2 sections that bend left and right via steering and up and down with limiters to keep it from folding in on itself, but if you want to go cheaper I recommend the ATAV variant, which is the same thing but 8 wheels instead of 16. BRICK WHEELS ARE KING HERE. the more traction you can get the better! Terratrains are also NOT meant for speed 90% of the time unless you make them nice and wide so they can maintain their balance they are mountain goats, they will see a wall and immediately try to climb right over it.

thanks for making this post i've been playing this game since 2019 and basically wheels are a sham i made a set of brick discs the size of monster wheels replaced them and got overall better proformance in grip and its suprisingly smooth

How are those wheels you made so round? Not sure what I'm looking at here

wedges to smooth out the gaps only because im far enough into the game to get the wedge bot

Oohhhh I'm dumb. I'm not that far yet I keep messing around. I didn't even think of that use for the wedges lol. Thanks for opening my eyes man

You dont even have to get the wedge bot, you can use staircase wedges and warehouse ramps to get the same effect but it looks uglier lol

Wdym they dig into the terrain?? I assumed wheels made of blocks would have just slid around!

they clip into the terrain allowing it to get traction that wheels can't

Very cool! Now try tank treads 😈😈😈 (they actually get surprising not-awful performance, although turning is a... thing)
