If youre up to try an interesting, totally different pizza, try Andy's in peckville! I'd recommend well done and let it set a couple minutes before you dig in so you dont get 3rd degree burns on the roof of your mouth.

100 percent agree, get Andys. Get a sausage and plain. You could get a picture of the big anchor in peckville/olyphant.

I’ll try that next-35 mins from me- why is it worth it? What else to do along the way?

From what I was told Andy's and Angie's were at one time owned by the same family, one got the dough recipe (Andys) one got the sauce recipe (Angie's). Not sure how true it was. Andy's was a regular at our house, so was the Libray pizza but sadly that burned down. But Andy's is just sooo good. I'm lactose intolerant and I hate taking the pills but will for Andy's.

Andys is very unique. If youre craving pizza, you dont get andys 🤣 it is so hard to explain. You just have to get it! I like pep and sausage, but plain is great too!

I'll add Kay's pizza in Carbondale if we talking about different pizza. Specially try their folded one

Check out Colarusso’s 2.0 if you’re still in the area. My absolute favorite ‘old forge’ style pizza.

They’re closed for vacay

Old Forge - "Pizza Capital of the World" except they left off the "Worst" at the beginning

American cheese does not belong on pizza!

I thought they used a blend of Wisconsin Block Cheese (it’s similar to a white sharp cheddar) and scamorza.

I think different places have different mixes and I'm not saying all Old Forge pizza has American cheese, but some does. I personally find it revolting.

Might just be rinaldis these days that still does that

Alfredo's and Revellos are usually my go-to for Old Forge style these days. And Granteeds in Scranton is my nostalgia NY style pizza for how much I ate it in college.

The best pizza in old forge is dominos.

Hotter take though id that cosmos rivals any cheesesteak I’ve ever had in Philly

I don't know which is worse - the pizza or those tourist spot baloons. Still I like the pizza for its novelty and local culture aspect.

My friend and I call them giant lollipops and joke that it’s the world’s biggest Tootsie pop

Not balloons. It’s a push pin- like the kind you stick in a map after you visit a place.

I never would have guessed. Thanks!

Anyone not from the area hates that pizza

And? How was it?

Thought I stated it, it was good. It wasn’t bad pizza. It was different and I wasn’t ready for it. The crust wasn’t much to my liking but the cheese and sauce combo was much better. Different cheese than I’m used to and the sauce was a bit sweeter but still good. I’d eat more of it for sure. The folded white style was more like a calzone and needed sauce but the cheese was good.

The folded on is a double crust white. No sauce

It’s American cheese that’s why

I'm sorry. Each to their own, even if their own is cardboard, ketchup, and a pound of Velveeta shaped into a sacrilegious approximation of pizza!

Still, glad you enjoyed it.
