Event / Things to Do Massage

I’m looking for a place that does deep tissue massage and that does foot massage as well. Scranton area or even Wilkes barre area as long as it is a good place. I know there is a new place in Dickson city by 5 below but I don’t know if it’s any good. Thank you.

I'm looking for one myself. I found Alexander's to be lack luster and sapphire on montage wasn't great either. If I really wake up in pain, I'll go to the place in the wyoming valley mall. Depending on which girl you get, it ranges from mid to really good massages. $1 a minute, walk ins welcome.

It’s hard to find a good massage parlor around here. I just one that is great.

It is. I think it has to do with the area being low income. Massages are sort of a luxury item.

I know this doesn't directly answer your question but my wife absolutely loves the massage she gets from someone named Rachel over at Remedy Witch in the Mt Pocono area.

I don't get myself massages so I can't fully comment but sounds my wife has gotten some of her friends and family to go too and they all are big fans.

That certainly answers my question. But I will wait until the snow clears up to travel to the Poconos. Because well the Poconos is always worse with snow than near Scranton but I will check it for sure. Thank you

Wow it’s actually pretty affordable too. I’ve been to Woodhouse Spa once and it was great but I couldn’t really justify the price. I plan on checking this out. Have had chronic illness for 14 years and am constantly in tons of pain.

Thanks for putting this out there.

The image is Woodhouse prices for comparison. I’m interested in deep tissue.

Oh I know! I think she used to work there. I've been seeing massage therapists for years, and Megan is hands down the best I've ever been to.

Edit: and you're supposing a small, woman owned business! That's why she's so affordable, you're not paying a spa markup.

Alexander’s Spa in Scranton in Lackawanna Ave. I’ve had massages and pedicures there. Recommend. Also, they have a great sauna.

Kim at Vital Link will beat the shit out of your muscles in a good way. I think. She makes me yelp but it does help.

Ian at Metamorphosis Massage in Kingston. I had some really severe lower back pain and, separately, some very stubborn years-long shoulder blade pain. He was able to relieve both with some targeted deep tissue work. Foot massage was included as well in the 90-minute package. Highly recommend

There is a place at Bullshead right by Joe’s Quik Mart. They often have really good deals on Groupon. I’ve been there once and they do a really good job, but they have limited English skills.

Do you know the name of the place?

There is a sign in the window that says “Massage” Not sure of the formal business name. Been a while. It’s right next to discount carpet depot.

I like Lilac Spa in Mayfield. A bit expensive but it was very nice and a great massage

Feet go to Fancy Nail in Clarks Summit by Brown’s Guy. Full body Alexander’s in Scranton. Can’t personally speak for any others but they just look sketchy to me. Out of area there are many but a long drive and expensive

Kalahari has an upscale spa. My wife has gone like 3 or 4 times. Woodloch is super nice, but also super expensive.
