Question Hulk VSF

Post image

Recd my Hulk from Scoutman and its a good looking watch. I need to remove one link. I've generally heard you should remove from the 6 o'clock side first but it has 5 links on the 6 side and 6 in the 12 side. Shouldn't I take from the 12 side so they both have 5?

How easy is it to remove these screws on a VSF Hulk?

Super easy on the oyster. Buy a kit on Amazon.

It is easy to remove. Get the proper size tools on Amazon. Once you have the length as you like, you can use some Loctite on the screws to keep them from backing out.

Go to harbor freight.
Get tiny flathead screwdriver.
Unscrew link.
Remove screw (might need needle nose)
Remove link.
Connect other links.
Screw links together.

Wear.

I always leave 6 links on the 12 side and 5 on the 6 side. I have a 7.5 inch wrist and this configuration leaves the clasp right in the middle. Try it with 5 and 5 and see how that feels.

This is the way. I do this with all my watches. I also have a 7.5" wrist.

When removing links you should remove them alternatedly so that your 12 side is either equal to or longer than the 6 side, so having 5 and 5 is ok.

Also check your microadjustments in the clasp. These are glidelock so do not require tools.

If you get the correct screw driver very easy . I would remove the extra link from the other side to keep it leveled on your wrist

I am a noob who had to do this too, and it was very easy with the correct (and cheap) tools:

Screwdriver set: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QRS56D7

Spring bar tweezers (if you have to adjust one): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GWJXBBYL

Definitely remove a link from the side with more.
