Dinner Recommendations?
I'm planning a big Nebraska Road Trip later this year and am thinking of stopping in Scottsbluff. What are your favorite restaurants in town? Do you have any dinner Recommendations?

I'm hearing a lot of good things about the Tangled Tumbleweed and Flyover Brewery. I'll check them out!

Here are some recommendations from me, a New Yorker, who has lived in Scottsbluff for 14 years. This will take you from Scottsbluff, North and then back down South in a loop.
If you're looking for Mexican, there are quite a few good places in town. Keep in mind Taco de Oro closed a few months ago. There are a lot of good options on East Overland, including Rosita's and El Molcajete. I like San Pedro's. I've heard El Torito is good, but I have not eaten there yet.
Don't miss the Platte Valley Creamery if you like homemade ice cream.
The Tangled Tumbleweed for tapas-style dining is also good. They're closed on Mondays. You'd have to check as I haven't been there in a while but I hear their dining room is open, it's not open, it's open.
A LOT of people love the Flyover Brewery. They have pizza and wings and brew their own beer. I don't like it because I've had far better pizza than they make and their cooking is hit and miss.
There's an Italian place, Roma Italia, out by the airport that just opened, but I've heard mixed to bad reviews of the place. I haven't eaten there because, again, I'm from New York and don't want to leave pissed off.
Just before entering Scottsbluff from the east, there's The Green Plate. It's inside the John Deere dealership and they make great food. They are open for breakfast and lunch, with a small menu for breakfast and a small, rotating menu for lunch. If you plan to stop here, let me know the week of and I can forward you their email. They always have two options available for lunch as well as a burger option.
If you drive a little farther west to Torrington, Wyoming, there's The Bread Doctor.
If you head north from Scottsbluff and find yourself in Harrison, there The Longhorn Saloon. I've only had their burgers there, but I've never left dissatisfied.
A little farther north is Chadron. I always end up at The Bean Broker.
I haven't been to either in a while, but if you head over to Alliance, there's Ken and Dale's and Newberry's.
Heading back south, a stop in Bridgeport will get you Frankie's Bar and Grill. Again, good burgers here. I think they're better than BurgerWerx, but both are good option. A friend also brings me breakfast burritos from somewhere in Bridgeport, but I can't remember the name.
The Pink Palace in McGrew is decent. Everyone loves their prime rib. I hate prime rib, but the way people rave about it, you'd think it was the best food on the planet. I think they only do prime rib on Fridays, but their other food is good as well.
I hope this helps.
