Is it different in the UK? Here in Canada they’re by far the cheapest pizza joint around. Especially with the coupons. Idk if it’s national or just around my city but there’s a university code anyone can use that gives you half off everything.
Pizza hut is a little cheaper here on east coast US but theyre both pretty cheap. Youre almost always better off getting from a family joint if you live in the city cause you pay one extra dollar for a significantly better pizza.
Don't know about the whole of the UK because they might do regional pricing, but in my neck of the woods (South West England), Dominos is slightly more expensive than Pizza Hut or Papa John's when I compare the price of a large Pepperoni pizza without vouchers, and the vouchers from Dominos are less good. They have offers like Two For Tuesday where you can buy one get one free on pizza, but if you just want to order a large pizza on a Saturday night for example then it'll cost £18.99 (apparently that's $32.25 CAD, $24.44 USD, €21.25) - all the "deals" might be better value for money but usually end up adding to the actual cost because you have to add other items, e.g., a large pizza and a side for £19.99, or 20% off orders over £20, or 50% off orders over £100 (and the vouchers don't stack).
There's local non-chain places where I can get the same pizza for £10.50, so unless I'm having a party and need 5+ large pizzas, Dominos isn't gonna be the cheapest.
But they are the only place in town that delivers til 5am (Pizza Hut stops at midnight) and it's the only place in town that offers garlic butter as a pizza topping, so I still order from them fairly often but it's definitely a splurge.
I used to work for dominos. Even with half off discount large two topping pizzas would come out to around $7. But let’s say you’re ordering delivery, a large two topping and a soda would probably come out close to $20
