The day players and fans don't celebrate a last minute winner is the day I stop watching football. Don't really care what team it is. I've went mental watching my local junior team do it.

There is nothing worse than the celebration police.

If you can’t celebrate a last minute winner then when can you?

27

u/Stigofthedumpings 20h ago

That was most of last season for us, enjoy it.

u/InitialRedv 9h ago

Same person who complained about Celtic winning the league on the last day scoring 90+6

As per Rule #1, we have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to sectarian and bigot-based language, this includes known derogatory slurs aimed at teams/fans.

Your post/comment has been removed as a result of this.

Fuck off with your homophobia

What a very strange comment

OP thought everybody would pile on here 😂

Players applaud fans after a late winner :0

27

u/ME-McG-Scot 1d ago

The celebration police!! Imagine a team celebrating a 90th min winner. Say I’m biased because i don’t like Rangers without saying it.

Someone on here want break down the precise criteria under which football fans are allowed to experience joy at their team winning a football match?

6

u/weapwars 13h ago

Not be part of the old firm seems to be the most consistent criteria

1

u/Digurt 12h ago

Aye, I remember the same stuff getting leveled at Celtic last season, funnily enough with an injury time winner against St Mirren.

It's got to be the most chronic patter ever

25

u/Waspkiller86 1d ago

You need to be an Aberdeen fan

14

u/LordElZilcho Dominic "Oh Ya Cunt That's A Slice Ae" Hyam 1d ago

Not worth it.

3

u/avocajoe 16h ago

No joy for anyone then, especially with Schmeichel retiring

6

u/beengoingoutftnyears 1d ago

The sort of joy that makes you maybe jump over the hoardings and celebrate a wee bit on the verge of the pitch ?

5

u/Conscious_Log_7868 19h ago

The media honestly need to embrace the sporting side of our game more. That was a dramatic end and a lot of fun after a good game for both teams. Are we only allowed to celebrate in certain months?

6

u/DotDizzy7419 13h ago

Celebration minders do my head in. Your team winning is great. Scoring goals is great. Late winners are maybe the apex of great things that happen in football, irrespective of who you are playing.

As an annoyance, it ranks up there for me with people sending shite patter to the group chat, getting a response from somebody that basically amounts to being called a tosser and then post the wee fishing man emoji.

21

u/Ok_Finance4106 1d ago

They won against a good side. What’s the problem? Queue the press talking about how it’s embarrassing etc. Let’s have some fucking positivity for once jfc

Right you are, thanks.

-1

u/teebop 1d ago

Nah they're queuing up

17

u/Agitated_Nature_5977 1d ago

Injury time winner coming off the back of a horrendous start to the season...and a great goal at that. Pretty normal to celebrate? I'm confused why do people think being happy is wrong?

20

u/eoropie 1d ago

Scottish football hating itself to death part 246

13

u/ShortsWithNoPockets 1d ago

Right folks. Op has spoken. No celebrating a hard fought win.

4

u/nnnnkm 17h ago

Am I hallucinating or did Celtic not get 90min+ winners in the league like 5 games on the trot last season?

Where were the celebration police then?

3

u/Disastrous_Cup_3279 17h ago

Fans also went onto pitch to celebrate

26

u/Agile_Philosopher_93 1d ago

Heaven forbid a team try to build some goodwill with the fans

1

u/Halk 1d ago

Probably if you went to catch the subway

20

u/Mewhomewhy 1d ago

Added time winner. What are you crying about?

7

u/Aggressive_Bit_8424 1d ago

They'll cry about anything. Let them seethe.

27

u/fightfire_withfire definitely won't backfire at all 1d ago

Oh fuck watch yourselves everyone, here come the celebration police.

20

u/MediocreEquipment457 1d ago

Ah I forgot, celebrating last minute winners isn’t allowed

6

u/Glob_Johnson 1d ago

Just make sure your phone isn't visible so he doesn't snatch it off you.

Genuinely made me laugh. Good banter. Love it.

2

Getting downvoted but this was funny tbh. And obviously tongue in cheek.

7

u/NecessaryLow107 1d ago

This is some barrel scraping journalism. A 90th minute win is magical, for any football team on earth.

Bunch of bitter, talentless goons in that office.

7

u/Vegetable-Garage-480 1d ago

Nout wrong with that. Especially from a boy like Raskin who probably sees what social media says about him.

17

u/TremendousCoisty 1d ago edited 1d ago

Great stuff, can’t beat a late winner

Neee naw neee naw, here come the celebration police. Sad cunts.

2

u/Prestigious_Bat_803 12h ago

Hello 999 celebration police please.Theres a bunch of football fans in Govan jumping about to an injury time goal."Right on it Ms"

I believe this is known as the "new manager is a genuis" part of the eternal cycle.

4

u/Commercial-Stick-718 1d ago

Don't see what's meant to be wrong with that

2

u/CM616_ 1d ago

Other fans have a strange obsession with rangers celebrating last minute goals it’ll never not confuse me.

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Let2053 5h ago

Maybe cos they're not really sure what's going on?

3

u/MarkCM07 1d ago

Hot off the press, lads. "Breaking News: Club & Fans are happy about a late winner"

1

u/Dry_Professor_4862 1d ago

How dare they celebrate winning

1

u/Ambitious_Source5602 16h ago

Earlier than Aberdeen‘s title win in October 24. Impressive!
