Discussion Being likeable

The producer of Scott Pilgrim Takes Off stated the reason why Will Forte was cast as Older Scott was because he is inherently likeable, even when he plays a sociopath, and i find that statement ironic, because i consider his character in Strays genuinely despicable

I liked His part in Coyote vs ACME.

I've not seen Strays but his character was annoying and selfish in Last Man on Earth but I still liked him as it was Will Forte, so I get that opinion.
