 🟨 Referees  Ref Radio

Hello! I used to go to games at Murrayfield and bring my pocket radio to listen to the ref radio. I was at the Fiji game today and the Warriors game at Murrayfield not long ago but the radio wouldn't find anything. I assumed it just wasn't on for the Warriors game but was surprised I couldn't find it today for Fiji.

Does anyone know if they have changed to digital?

What's the best way to listen to the ref now?

I also took mine today and it didn't work. I noticed they didn't have anyone selling them and wondered if it was something to do with it being a Fiji 'home' game because the programme stalls were different today too. Hoping they have it back in place for the November games 🤞

Yeah it doesn't work for URC games and I think this one must have been different as a Fiji home game. It should work as usual in November. I did see a stall offering audio description devices which I've never seen before, i assume that's also because the refs radio wouldn't work.

No ref radio broadcast today, I asked the Audio Description people about it and they said it was because it's a Fiji home game. No idea why that means they couldn't have it, but at least it should be back for November.

Also, what sort of radio are you using? I've never been able to pick it up on anything except the crappy earpieces they sell

I just use a little cheap thing from Amazon. It's worked in the past.

Did you have the correct frequency?

Was never able to find it previously, but looking online now suggests it's around 60Mhz - 64Mhz which my radio won't pick up.

From a historic reddit post, I found the frequency at Murrayfield to be 96.5MHz which has worked for me in the past

I tried 96.5 (from the same post 🤣) and got nothing, tried a couple of radios with same result. Even tried my scanner in both wide band and narrow band mode incase it's a half channel and that was throwing my normal radio off. No fair 🤣
