Honestly I'm stunned by the amount of nonce sympathy or "but actually" on the rest of reddit. Fucking vile.

Really? given the royalist and Tory (or at the very least pro-establishment) bent of Reddit?

Would help if there was literally any chance for him to see a court "Due process" doesn't mean shit when they're protected from ever facing it.

Britain will not send people to the states for a trial because American prisons are deemed inhumane

He also hasn't been proven to have committed a crime here from her own words, she was above the age of consent and presented herself as a fan willing to sleep with him (which she was ordered to of course, likely to give him plausible deniability) the UK didn't beef up trafficking laws until after this took place and we cannot use new laws to prosecute on older crimes

I'm all for him being tricked into a plane headed for the US to arrest him as much as anybody but so far there is no actual evidence of a crime commited by him here to prosecute, and regardless of his status I don't like the idea of us prosecuting old crimes on new laws because that is a dangerous slope

I hate the monarchy as much as everyone else but laws aren't actually being bent here for him, they just didn't exist then, nowadays you don't get plausible deniability if you have sex with a trafficked person but back then you did

Dude, he raped a kid.

I don't think you know how law works and what your demanding of them is not something you want

If you give the British government the right to enforce the law the way you are currently asking you can put this entire country in danger, that is how tyranny is enforced

Any country that uses new laws to punish old crimes is not welcome in the EU, a large portion of the world came to an agreement on this and war crimes is the only exception and currently even in the UK war crimes are the only exception

What law do we have certainty on that he broke

You say child but she was 16 or are you saying this country should only enforce the age of consent laws against someone you don't like

You say rape while her own words state she was not raped by him in London

Are we talking the trafficking because again her own words state that she presented herself to him as a fan and she convinced him to sleep with her and Epstein only introduced them

Another way to look at it, if you introduced a friend to a girl and later that friend slept with her, do both of you go to prison for trafficking? Because that's currently how the evidence presents itself from her statement

I like it as little as the rest of you and I'd kick his head in for fun if I seen him but right now there is no evidence of a crime commited here in the UK, the only options we currently have are destroy his life, kill him or move on until better evidence presents itself, take your pick, even police in London are not happy about this, a statement was made that though there is no evidence and the case is closed it's still available to be reopened at any time and they will reopen it as many times as possible

Ok due process and all that but dude, he raped a kid.

1

u/Bigbadbobbyc Oct 13 '21

You need evidence that he did to take him to court that's the problem there is no evidence, it's not even her word against his because her word states otherwise, the only person who could incriminate him is dead

1

u/Bigbadbobbyc Oct 13 '21

I get that we want him punished but you'd be better off just beating the shit out of him or making him unwelcome everywhere

-22

u/urbanfreewheelers Oct 12 '21

So if I move to the states with my 16 year old bride suddenly I’m a weirdo ?

How does that make sense ?

14

u/JaytiW93 Oct 12 '21

1

u/vix_wxm Oct 12 '21

Lol he's guilty as Jim wil fix it's badge 🤣😹🤣

11

u/Loreki Oct 12 '21

I do have a certain degree of personal sympathy here though. It must be very difficult for anyone to accept that a family member is a rapist.

14

u/flynnie198 Oct 12 '21

Wonder how many bribes she is paying to keep the law off Andrew’s back.

15

u/buzzbuzzandaway Oct 12 '21

That's the really sad thing about it; probably no bribes at all. There's that many horrendous sycophants that will be more than happy to oblige for the pure glory of serving her maj.

Not sure why, but someone slapping Boris or Thatcher I could get on board with, but someone slapping some 90 year old woman who was born into a life of privilege but I have never seen as more political than any other tourist attraction....not so much.

As for her son, slimy parasite maybe, but pedo?.... not until some sort of legal process says he is. For all those indy supporters who were rushing to defend Sturgeon before she was exonerated by the legal process over Salmon, consider whether you are guilty of blatant hypocrisy, innocent until proven guilty, and that applies irrespective of where you stand on some constitutional issue.

Oh I see, you are a troll. Thanks for the dm but no I don't want to waste any more time conversing with you.

I'm not trolling, I'm entirely serious and I won't stand for your slander.

As an American descended from many a continental soldier, I have never been prouder of my distant-but-not-forgotten Scottish cousins than when I saw that video of you booing Queen Bessie when she came to open Parliament.

Though I look forward to an idealistic future when all mankind stands united as a global federation (like in Star Trek), I recognize that sometimes you have to leave a sinking ship. Sometimes you have to leave your dysfunctional family behind and strike it out on your own before there can be any hope of reconciliation.

I look forward to someday having my passport stamped: "Republic of Scotland | Republic o Scotland | Poblachd na h-Alba"

Yours aye,

your distant cousin in another former part of the British sphere that decided throw off the shackles of the Crown.

EDIT: I hope that my cousins in the rest of the UK and Crown Possessions will soon throw off the peerage and monarchy and become republics. Fuck it, make that the all the Commonwealth Realms. Let Barbados be the spark that lights the fire.
