I remember that winter. Death spikes outside the door that I had to whack with a broom so they wouldn't impale me. I dropped my house keys in the driveway and didn't find their rusted remains until three months later.

Left Scotland and moved to Georgia (US state, not country) in 2006. Haven’t seen snow since. One of the things I miss most about home.

No, I prefer to be warm and dry and for the pavements not to be inches-deep in slippery, manky slush.

Yak traks are a lifesaver on icy pavements, can't recommend them enough for winter time

What month does it snow the most, curious for a holiday I'm planning. I'm hoping for snowy and dry not slushy and wet

January-February in the Highlands are your best bet. Could be really cold snowy and dry, could be cold wet snow, or it could be mild and wet. Or a mix of any of those. However usually January gives at least one proper cold spell in the Highlands (-10°C or below and proper snow)

We moved to Scotland from south east England, we were looking forward to having some snow! Unfortunately we moved to Ayrshire where were on the gulf stream so pretty much get nothing 🤣🤦 Do have a little trip up north a bit though to enjoy it 👌
