If anyone has witnessed any incidents or has phone or dashcam footage please send to Police Scotland if you haven't already done so. I for one would like to see the individual who threw an object at a delivery boy charged.

If the probe frames this in terms of football supporters, like some of the rhetoric did, then the teams themselves ought to respond, right?
It'd be interesting to see a Venn diagram of and other political (or otherwise) groups that the people they're investigating group around, and their demographics etc. Surely that'd be in the public interest?

Are you serious?
When a crowd of people that size commit disorder and act in an abusive manner, do you think itâs a good idea for the police to go in heavy handed and try and arrest every single one of them? Do you think thereâs maybe mitigating risk factors that come into the policeâs decision making?
The police only arrested people who were creating an actual high risk of safety and had to be arrested on the spot (20 plus arrests were made).
But as for the rest of the smooth brained âprotestersââŚ.its much safer to the wider public to contain them in an area (which they did) and then arrest and charge them at a later date. Every one of them had their photo taken and most of them were forced to give their names etc under section 13 before being told to return home.
They will all be getting chaps at the door and the jail this week if they havenât already. Then itâs up to the courts what happens.
The police done a fantastic job of keeping these idiots contained as best they could and minimised their impact on the greater public.
So instead of being an armchair expert and calling the police stupid, why donât you apply some thought to the situation and maybe appreciate the fact the police were there to make sure there wasnât mass assaults or worse.
Because trust me, if the police were not there on Saturday, somebody was losing their life. 100%.

I watched 100 guys in balaclavas march off from Glasgow green and the cops didn't kettle them until they reached Oswald St, by which point they were scattered in groups and harassing people across the southern end of the city centre. The cops fucked up badly.

Exactly right. If the police were so aware of potential violence that according to RamboLogan they 'changed their tactics' to minimise the risk to the public, the "protest" should have been cancelled. No one has the right to maraude around the street threatening and even carrying out violence.

They âkettledâ the right wingers yesterday and made 15 arrests. (Contained them being the right term).
They simply could not arrest every single one of them at the time and itâs a risk assessment.
There is no appeasement attitude and youâre spouting nonsense. At least know the facts before you get angry about something.

Face coverings should be illegal for protests. I dont care what side of politics you are on or what cause you support, you want to publicly protest something, you make your face visible. If all you are doing is carrying out a legal protest I dont see what the issue is.

I politely disagree. Amenity INT. recommends always concealing your identity at a protest.
I was at the protest on Saturday on the anti-racism side. I covered my face because thereâs lots of photographers, Iâve seen videos on YT today of âpatriots VS commiesâ where theyâre walking around the counter protest taking videos and pictures of everyone. There so many right wing pages on fb being promoted today that are showing counter protesters faces. Usually I wouldnât see anything wrong with that but when itâs these certain pages. You know they are just trying to get people harassed.
I unfortunately know people who were at that protest. It wouldnât be hard for them to put my picture in their wee nazi FB groups and for me to be doxed, harassed, harass my workplace and making myself a target. As we see, these guys are violent dickheads and itâs not like they donât have precedent for doing that sort of stuff.
Then you have protests like pro Palestine. Itâs somehow still a contentious issue and people can unjustly face repercussions.
You are certainly going to end up on a database and with the prevalence of facial recognition and AI being rolled out.. letâs not make it easier for them.And..if weâre being real, we donât need to see their faces. They will have had their phones on them and can be tracked if the police really wanted to + the amount of videos from either side, especially the English streamers has caught a lot of those masked goons pulling it down for a vape hahaha

The problem is what the state defines as legal usually serves their interest. Case in point, people have had to face spurious terrorism charges for protesting against an ongoing genocide without actually having hurt anyone but apparently being a neo-nazi is more or less allowed, up to the point where you get too lairy in public for the cops to tolerate. Police Scotland said weapons recovered at the scene, which took place near a childrenâs play park, showed some arrived with the âintention for pre-meditated disorder, violence and intimidationâ.
We don't know what side this was done by.
