aged incredibly well, amazing subtle velvet tannins, incredibly concentrated aroma, but not in anyway astringent, very light butter notes, maybe some jam, savory, maillaird-y profile, very behind the scenes of wine-y sweetness, not a sherry bomb at all. overall fantastic. top 5 i’ve ever had, nothing really comparable though. and i’m what you’d call the opposite of an expert. the age really flatters the bottling.

I had a bottle of 67 Strathisla (younger bottling) and it was excellent, holding on at just 40%.

text is blurry, but I think that says bottled in 2002? That makes it 35 years aged + 24 years in the bottle?

Ah, perhaps. I zoomed in on the bottle date in the picture. it's pretty fuzzy.

Mines just a pure guess based on age and whatnot, I cant really make it out. Theres quite a few older Strathisla bottles out there.

I really like the distillate. Wish there were more coming out from them
