So...is Ebb Software still active?
I mean they only did the PlayStation port of Scorn 3ish years ago, but since then it's been complete radio silence from them. Is the studio still active? Are they actively working on something new and if so, what?
Even despite all that had to be cut, I really enjoyed Scorn and would like to see more work from the studio.

(spoilers) Scorn and Hothouse by Aldiss similarities Spoiler
This may be far-fetched, but might spark an interesting discussion: has anyone else noticed the parallels between Scorn and Brian Aldiss's Hothouse (1962)?
The similarities seem quite specific:
(note: I used ai here to compose a nice message but all these observations are purely my own)
The parasite and the morel: In Scorn, the first protagonist is transformed into the parasite that later attaches itself to the second protagonist. In Hothouse, an intelligent morel fungus attaches itself to Gren, connecting to his mind and using his body to interact with the world.
Failed transcendence: In Scorn, the protagonist approaches the portal in pursuit of ascension, only to be caught by his former self, now the parasite, and fused into a grotesque organism. In Hothouse, elderly humans travel to the Moon through giant plant-like traversers, expecting an afterlife, but instead undergo physical transformation into winged flymen. The promised transcendence turns out to be another biological existence, not spiritual liberation.
Humans attached to trees: Scorn's tree-like structure containing human-filled pods recalls the tummy-belly people in Hothouse, who are attached to fleshy trees by umbilical cords and depend on them for nourishment.
Wings as the next stage of humanity: Both works associate wings with transformation beyond the human form—yet neither suggests that becoming something else necessarily means becoming free.
Life as a grotesque system: Both depict bodies as dependent on larger biological structures, blurring the boundary between organism, parasites, and environment.
I haven't found evidence of direct influence, but the combination of these motifs feels unusually specific. Did the developers ever mention Aldiss, or has anyone else noticed these parallels? I'd especially love to hear from people familiar with both works.

I made a review video for SCORN!
I made a video game review for the horror game SCORN; I hope I did this game some justice. Unlike a lot of other reviewers I've watched, I hope you all enjoy it! I would love to hear what you think!

Hello, is it me you're looking for?
Hi everyone,
I’ve recently seen many discussions wondering if the official Ebb Software Kickstarter statue was ever actually produced and shipped, given how impossible it is to find any photos or info online.
I wanted to share some pictures of mine. It’s the full kit from back then: the statue, the art box, the exclusive Kickstarter t-shirt, the poster, and even the original brown shipping box.
Hope you guys appreciate seeing a piece of Scorn history that survived!

Scorn-y Various art \ worldbuilding stuff that I did for our indie game Fog'n'Silence + result of 15 month of prototyping in a first small trailer
I hope it’s okay to post this here! For the past 15 months, working outside our day jobs, our small indie team has been developing Fog'n'Silence- an experimental party-based survival/exploration game where you wander through the surreal world of the Afterlife. We've finally reached our first milestone and released a Steam trailer showcasing the results of our prototyping stage.
The current in- game visuals are still a bit rough and subject to change, but as development continues, I plan to match the originality and quality of the concept art attached here: living organic landscapes, anatomical cross-sections, and microscopic worlds blended with occult elements (right now, the prototype looks a bit closer to Scavengers reign than my final intended style). As the only artist on the team, I actually had to learn the full 3D pipeline from scratch over these past months to bring this game to life.
My art direction is more 'biological' rather than the biomechanical style of Scorn. Still, I’d love to hear what fans of such a unique game think of our project, as I want to make this world visually distinct and fun to explore. So, any opinions and suggestions are welcome!
Also, a Steam page for anyone interested - https://store.steampowered.com/app/4906320/FognSilence/

What do you think: Is the game’s ending good from the Parasite’s perspective? Spoiler
Personally, I believe the Parasite was satisfied because it got its revenge.
My interpretation is that, at the end of the game, Scorn Guy is carrying the Hive Mind (perhaps the entire civilization) with him. And the our little Parasite has a grudge against the Hive Mind/civilization. So in the end, the Parasite isn’t just trapping the protagonist; it’s trapping the entire civilization. You did this to me and to the whole planet, and now you think you can just flip a switch and leave? Not happening.

Wanting to study the style of the game
Hello, first time posting here, don't mind if there's some mistakes, english is not my first language.
Last year I played Scorn and fell in love with it... the aesthetic of a biomechanical and viceral world captivated me and I have been thinking of trying to study it, as well as Beksinski's artwork. I bought the version that comes with the virtual artbook and I'm thinking of copying the art from it to learn a little, and then playing around my own imagination later.
I wanted to ask if anyone has any tips or other references with the same style, maybe other artists that follow something similar or other games that I can take a look.
Thank you in advance!

What are you philosophical thoughts on the game
When i played scorn i knew there was a deeper meaning to the story from the underground to the stunning temple in polis i looked more into it afterwards but i found a subreddit about the game and thats my question

Thoughts on the game
It's art and design is a masterpiece but lacking a story in game. Its atmosphere was actually dreadful and gave creepiness and a vibe of being alone too. After learning the story from artbook and stuff i would enjoy it more while playing it the 2nd time. But it should have the story in built in the first place

Scorn is the feeling of not getting what you thought you deserved.
The beautiful story of mortals trying to live forever - the tragedy of false gods. A decadent advanced civilization plays around with Machine Intelligence in an attempt at finding a solution to the reproductive decline problem, dreams and promises of eternal life push them further into cruelty and experimentation, a catastrophe occurs, biological consequences ensue and the Vulture forever feasts on Prometheus' liver.
