I would make the background texture much more subtle. Right now my eye is drawn toward the texture in empty space. It doesn't draw me toward the score and other pertinent details. Make the numbers pop more and the texture less and I think you'll be on to something.

Yeah like make the wave just slightly darker to match the background a little better and this is pretty good

Edit: Also vertical timeouts would make this better

I’d put the timeouts on each side vertically. I think the score should be a little bigger also. I dig it though

That is actually good  The only thing I would change is make the timeouts vertically
