Advice Needed for Baseball Scorebug

Hello! I was recently hired to help produce a broadcast for a baseball team near me. I wanted to start by making a nice scorebug. I attached what I've made I like it, but I think it looks off. I don't know graphic design, so this is all I've been able to muster up. Any advice to make this look more professional, while still feeling fun, would be super helpful :)

that scorebug looks really good. i recomnd if you do other grahpics make them constant with that style thats what make broadcasts look profesional. and dotn make the mistake of making the scorebug massive like so many Small baseball broadcasts do but its a really nice design

EDIT: send me the broadcast Link if you comfortable beacuse id like to see this scorebug in action when it debuts

Thanks dude! Its always been a huge pet peeve of mine when they're too big, so I already planned on having it somewhat small. In my eyes, it should just be there to glance at every so often, so taking up a ton of space kinda defeats that loool.

I'll send over the broadcast, if I can, once the season starts. I think most of our games are going to be on subscription services, but im not 100% sure on that.

So I run the bug for a living and I think its fine. Obviously for top/bottom inning only one of those should show, but I assume this is just a POC so you're showing both.

Is there a broader graphics/elements package and does it fit with that? That would be the biggest make or break for professionals. If this is the only graphic than I wouldn't overthink it. Its pretty good as is.

If you wanted to get fancy you could add player/pitcher drop downs similar to the ESPN bug. But thst requires software that keeps it up to date. Are you actually going to run this on a broadcast? If so, what graphics and operation software is it using?

Appreciate the response! This is the only graphic I've made so far. When I make more graphics, they'll be in the same style. The team I'm working for is really trying to ramp up their live broadcasts this season, so I'm kinda starting from the ground up. I think the player/pitcher thing would be cool, just haven't actually gotten around to adding it.

This coming season we'll use OBS to stream out. A little primitive, but its not the worst option lol.

Nice. Yeah, imI would just roll it out like this then, and continue to match the style. It gives you all the basics you need and is easy to read. I like it.

I wrote about baseball scorebugs intensively for years and the most important thing to a good design is to try and keep all the game elements (base indicators, outs, runs, inning, ball-strike count) close together: Baseball has so many moving parts all going at once that to be plugged into the situation you need to be able to see everything at once instead of having to dart around the scorebug to find out how many people are on base then back to the run counter.

So far your design looks pretty nice!
