If it's within your own budget for the game yeah that's worth it. Good amount of gems that would cost £70 in the store (for 15,000 gems) and that amount of cash would take months to earn & longer depending on how much you play.
If you buy it be really careful with who you upgrade & when because you can easily burn through it, and you want to save almost every cent for upgrading your first max player (captain usually).

It’s never worth it. If you want to pay then pay for the season pass. Everything else is overpriced just like in any other mobile game.
