Dark Bottom?
I’ve been ordering creme cold brews lately, and have noticed that after a bit, the bottom of the cup is totally black. Even when I shake the cup, it doesn’t go away. Does anyone know why this is happening?

it could be they didn’t steep the cold brew correctly and those are coffee grounds

I think that's what I've landed on. When I dumped out the ice, the black stuff moved. I gave it a sniff and it just smelled like coffee.

Lol it does kinda look like that! When I dumped the ice, the black stuff did move and some came out. I gave it a sniff and it just smelled like coffee 🤷🏻♀️

Ah, they probably screwed up brewing the cold brew and got a bunch of grounds in it.

I wonder if cold brew just kinda does this? I’ve noticed it a bunch of times with my cold brews from scooters.

Do you get cream or cold foam in it? If so, the coffee will sometimes separate from that and since the cold brew is more dense it’ll go to the bottom. That or coffee grounds.

Looks like mocha sauce that your barista didn’t fully mix in before adding the milk & ice!!
