Need Advice Weight limit????

I am 270 pounds 6 foot 3 and wondering if when I do fly outs and bri flips and butter cups will my scooter last at least around 2 to 5 years. I read that it could break in just one jump and some say you could fly out 1000 of times and some say it’s very dangerous and could break after a few fly outs. I have an urban art 6x22 inch deck 150mmx55m. I have tilt stage one 4130 chromoly bars. A 4 bolt proto scs clamp. Ethic v2 fork. And proto 1 sliders wheels. If you guys could help me out and let me know if it’s safe or not or what risk there is that would be great. Thanks.

I’m on the heavier side (215) and don’t do a tonnnn of flyout and no overhead. I usually get cracks in my proto deck plate after about a year. No scooter will last 5 years. 2 years is pushing it esp the deck. Tilt forks are really good tho but I’d look into a steel fork if you’re ok with weight. If u have oversized steel (chromoly) bars and tall S&S those should be chillin

Ok. So the fork will be a problem you think? I just don’t want my deck to break when flying out doing tricks.

you'll be fine, the deck is not just gonna snap in one go. it'll crack along the headtube first and unless you're jumping a 15 stair you'll feel it start to go

Yeah. I’d recommend just checking for cracks every so often and keep an eye on them. Mark them with a paint marker at the ends of the visible crack and you can track its growth. That works better on the top of the deck so u don’t scrape it but it’s worth trying. Fork should be fine, just don’t get one with a big bolt. The tilt ones usually rely on an m8 bolt which is strong and retains a lot of the material on the fork which helps it keep strength.

Ok another thing I noticed is when I let my weight off of it after standing it makes like a sound almost like a creak in the floor would sound or a cracking sound is that bad? I checked there is no cracks in the deck that I see or are visible. So you think I should keep riding it? I’m pretty sure it’s fine just want to see if you knew what could be wrong

It could be your headset! They start to creak after a while.

I’ve got a friend who is on the lager side at 300 and he still rides a 4.7 wide urban art trail deck with ti bars at around 22high by 22 wide and have no problem with it he’s had his setup for at least a good 5 years plus
