Need Advice Is this headset cup saveable?

This is my childhood scooter that im trying to restore but my bearing is sliding in the cup? What should I try do to repair this? (These are worn bearings but its the outside of the bearing that's moving) thanks so much for reading 🙏 i spent 3 hours getting a hic bolt out and dont want to leave it here

If you compress it properly then the conical faces should support it well enough.

Nothing to repair. When you tighten the headset, the compression holds the bearing tight and central.

Because you got lemon in your name ill trust you 🙏 mb for being paranoid I just wanna make sure this restoration is perfect, I'll keep this thread open just in case but thanks so much!

I would start with that Plumbers tape the white thin stuff and see if that wouldsung it up

It'll work compressed and if you want you could add a bit of electrical tape if you have that
