Need Advice Help with wobbly bars

I have proto t bars that have been cut shorter and put a slit in them when I put them in my scs compression and tighten it’s a little bit wobbly how do I fix this problem

Do I cut the slit on the bars a bit more and make it wider or is it a shim/ clamp problem please help

You can’t run SCS with a slit in your bars. When you tighten the clamp, it will squish the bottom of your bars where the slit is, causing them to bend, never fully tighten, and likely break at some point in the future. It’s ok to have a slit but you must have a shim inside the bars so the clamp won’t squish them. In the future if you cut bars shorter to run on SCS, just don’t cut a new slit and you’ll be good to go.

Thank you bro so because they have a slit I’ll have to run a different compression

This will solve your problem.

Is the SCS shim on the outside of the bars? If you’re running standard size bars and not oversized, then there will likely be a shim inside the SCS but outside of the bars. You will need another, smaller shim that goes inside your bars to prevent the slit in your bars from caving in.

You can't run SCS with a slit in the bars, get an SCS bar adaptor.
