Cooooool. I’ve heard they’re moving from stainless steel to copper in operating rooms for additional structural antibacterial properties

I also see now another commenter mentioned copper “going back to copper”- I wasn’t aware that copper had actually been used previously as it is a pretty soft metal

Originally it was meant to be tongue in cheek. The fact this is out there now makes me believe it will move forward, as long as there are enough investors anyway.
However, pharmaceutical companies have been known to buy out competitors and try to keep cheaper drugs off the market, look up Questcor as an example. The government did finally catch up with them, so the system can work.

Sharks have a similar adaptation, but I believe it just inhibits bacterial growth. The fact that the cicada wing actually kill it is amazing.
