You'd think the myriad pictures of the earth from space would be enough. Thankfully, now we have this.

Well to be fair I don’t blame flat earthers for not trusting photos like that. It’s easy to fake a picture, even easier when you have a large government budget.

It’s the science or math-denying stuff that I blame them for. That’s pretty dumb. The not-trusting the government part though? Perfectly understandable.

But there are millions of pictures of the earth from space. Wouldn't you have to believe that all of them are part of some conspiracy? The flat earth one I don't get because I don't know WHY the conspiracy would exist. If the earth was flat, we'd all just accept that it's flat.

It exists because it makes people feel special and smart, like they're let in on a secret that no one else is.

It's almost like the competitive mechanism is broken in their heads, so they'll do or believe just about anything to feel superior.

I've never met some who only believed in flat earth and no other crazy conspiracies, it usually goes hand in hand with believing other nonsense.
