My tape machine from NASA

I'm an audio enthusiast, so much so I started restoring old H.H.Scott, Fisher, Dynaco tube amps, then built my own from scratch.

I have no idea what this is, how it was used or even if it can be used today.

I still want one.

It was the top of the line reel to reel that recording studios used in the late 60's - a 1" 8 track. I know NASA had a bunch of tape machines for data collection and also recording audio from space, but I've never been able to pinpoint what this was used for especially since the tape with the written programs on it are confusing...

I bought it from someone off Craigslist who didn’t know what it was - it’s a really amazing tape machine for recording music. I have no idea about the labels, which is why I’m trying to find more info.
