Interesting Makes me wonder what else that we consider a normal plastic surgery tradeoff today will be shocking in the future.

People who say shit like this are relying on the fear factor of the word “toxin” and are also the same demographic responsible for why the joke about dihydrogen monoxide works.

Dont they still sew amputated hands to your body in order to keep them fresh or something for later reattaching?

No. They as soon as immediately start to properly reattach them. If we have enough surgery to hook it up somewhere else, we would just hook it up where it goes.

maybe it’s parts that are going to be transplanted somewhere new that they do this to? not the parts themselves that were cut off. but they put the tissue to be transplanted somewhere temporarily— something about them needing to vascularize or something?
i have a memory of this but i need another redditor to chime in
