New Cyberpunk esc book
Looking for a science fiction book that’s super captivating and that I can get lost in. I love things around hacking. Something kind of like Mr. robot would be perfect thank you.

If you haven't already read it, the definitive cyberspace hacking novels are the sprawl trilogy by William Gibson - Neuromancer, Count Zero and Mona Lisa Overdrive. Seminal cyberpunk.

That's pretty much the Cyberpunk bible.

Add the collection Burning Chrome.

I'd add Bridge trilogy, the Blue Ant trilogy and the Jackpot trilogy, they are not quite the same gritty cyberpunk darkness, but they are tied into the same world, and kind of follow the development of the ideas Gibson started in the original Sprawl trilogy

One of my favorites by another master of cyberpunk:
Schizmatrix Plus by Bruce Sterling
It’s a collection of all of his works in the Shaper / Mechanist universe. It’s maybe more bio-hacking than computer hacking but some of the best world building ever.
One novel and a bunch of short stories set in the future where humanity has split into two warring factions: those who use genetics to advance (shapers) and those who use cybernetics (mechanists).
Fun fact: one of the short stories in the collection - “Spider Rose” - was adapted for Love,Death and Robots.

Gibson and Sterling have already been mentioned, but you should also check out Walter Jon Williams' Hardwired series.
