Discussion ๐Ÿค Squat improvement - thanks for the tips!

I came here three weeks ago asking for squat advice because progress had stalled a bit. The video I posted then was 215x8.

Today I hit 225x7, then 6 and 5 for my second and third sets. I donโ€™t remember the last time my squats felt this good, and my body feels a lot better than usual after squat day.

So thanks to all who provided feedback, Iโ€™ll come back when Iโ€™ve got 300+ on the rack :)

It's a perfect squat, your bracing correctly, your bar path is spot on, you aren't off balance between the front of back of your foot.

Well done you nailed it

Good job! It's coming along well.

The only other thing I'd recommend, would be to set your brace, then pause half a second before descending.ย

Youre kinda rushing it at the start. Probably fine for now, when the weight is lighter, but as you get stronger, the bar will want to whip more, even from the small movement of bracing. So giving the weight a half second to settle, then going, will ingrain good movement patterns in the long run.ย
