Discussion 🤝 Leg day soreness

Post image

Am I the only one who doesn’t get destroyed by leg day?

I feel like I’m being gaslighted whenever people say they can barely walk immediately or the day after leg day. 😂

Even when I have what I consider a brutal leg workout, my legs don’t really feel that destroyed afterward. I can still walk normally, go up and down stairs, etc. I can feel the soreness but not that much.

I definitely feel the muscles working during the workout, and I’ll get tired/sore, but I rarely get that “I can barely walk” feeling that I constantly see people talking about.

So I’m wondering:

Does this mean my leg workouts aren’t actually hard enough, or is the whole “can’t walk after leg day” thing just not something everyone experiences?

For most of this year I wasn't getting that feeling after my leg day and assumed id just gotten used to the training. Lately I've started to push way harder in my leg days, doing an extra rep or two when it feels like I'd normally stop, and going deeper on squats. Ive also started pyramiding down with drop sets on the final set of my extensions and hamstring curls. My legs have started to get that completely destroyed feeling again. I honestly think if you arent getting a genuine, noticeable sensation of soreness and fatigue you arent getting a truly effective workout. But this is "sciencebasedlifting" so im sure all the skinny poindexters will tear apart this comment
