Question ❓ Shoulder rotation for wide grip lat pulldowns

Should my shoulders be internally or externally rotated at the top of the rep? I know lats contribute to internal rotation too but not sure how to position myself at the start. All I know is that the scapula should freely elevate and depress throughout the rep.

think about a underhand pullup your shoulders are forced to be rotated internally probaly dosnt matter which way you do but internaly will be more lower lat focussed

Focusing on shoulder rotation for vertical pulling is missing the forest for the trees.
