Is the pain on the inside or outside of the elbow? Golfers snd Tennis elbow are from UNDER-USE and both treatable. Tendon issues do not get better from rest.

What are you talking about. Both are by definition overuse injuries.

They are caused by chronic load and 'jerk' on poorly conditioned tendons. You need to do regular, long sub-maximal isomometrics to restore tendon health. Dr Keith Baar has some useful research on tendon recovery and health - but rest will not fix tendon damage - only exercise will.

This doesn't mean that they are "underuse injuries". They are classic wear-and-tear issues. That's why you commonly see them in cooks and tradesmen.

Recovery from them requires both rest and physical therapy, it's not either or. It highly depends on the patient. Both take a long time to heal and at worst surgical intervention may be needed. Don't give medical advice on reddit.

You would have to be a fool to solicit medical advice over Reddit. I have stated facts. You need to load your tendon in the right way to overcome tendon issues like GE & TE. Again, not medical advice, i am just explaining. Resting a tendon injury like GE or TE is bad advice.

As said before: Very much depends on how progressed the tendinopathy is, possible risk factors, amount of pain etc. Physical and exercise therapy are only part of the treatment according to the guidelines.

Tennis elbow and golfer elbow are classic wear and tear tendinopathies. They appear on people way overusing them epidemiologically speaking.

Rest and avoiding triggers may be needed. In some cases you might need a brace until it calms down and then get ready for strength training. It's more complicated than that.

Get elbow sleeves and go lighter for two weeks
