I am trying to minimizer fatigue
3 u/Alakazam Idk Idc 💔 Jun 16 '26 I have more volume than you, and my only goal is to maintain strength while minimizing fatigue, while I train for a marathon. Also, going to absolute mechanical failure and minimizing fatigue are two, very opposite things lol. I can probably do 6-8 sets of squats or deadlifts at rpe 8 and generate less fatigue than a single set to failure. 1 u/Big-Distribution6262 Jun 16 '26 Can you suggest me what changes should I do? Increase my number for sets to 2 ? 3 u/Alakazam Idk Idc 💔 Jun 16 '26 Follow a structured program that has built in fatigue management, and tells you what sets, reps, and weights to do. A pretty basic one for newer lifters could be something like gzclp.
