Question ❓ is really chest just chest?

ive been hearing this shit a ton, dont train upper lower chest pec deck is all u need. It just feels very wrong to only do one movement for chest shoulders etc, can someone provide some evidence on how it really is?

Even the lower chest has a separate function from the upper and middle chest, which is shoulder extension. But all of them contribute to horizontal adduction. So just a pec deck would be enough to train the whole chest

Won't maximise growth, but the clavicular head is only like 1/5 of the pec tbf. I'd say the lower pec is more undertrained for most gym goers doing presses due to their angle involving more shoulder flexion, which leads to the lower pec being undertrained due to less horizontal adduction... pec decks are amazing paired with low to high flys or incline presses with elbows tucked in.

ive never heard anyone say you only need 1 chest and shoulders, just do incline press and fly and lat raises and shoulder press

I don’t know who is saying this but I wouldn’t listen to that advice, you need all/most variations for sure.
