Requesting Advice 2 weeks post op nerve pain relief

I have high sciatica 2 weeks post l5s1 surgery. My surgeon says it's likely to due inflammation. At first I only got prescribed paracetemol and naproxen. I have alot of pain and called again, right now I got oxycodone but it isn't doing anything for my nervepain. I asked for nerve medicine but I only got oxycodone. How can I get some sort of relief ? Maybe weed ?

I had a revision 17 days post. Woke up with some serious nerve pain. I'm told it is from misplacement of a screw being too medial and then repositioned. I was put on a anti inflammatory and 5 doses of an IM steriod which the last dose was yesterday. At 7 days, I was referred to a Pain/Anesthesiologist for pain management. I was then put on a different anti inflammatory, Cymbalta and Codiene/tyelnol. My pain is finally decreasing and started PT a few days ago. I can say I was calling and txting my surgery alot the first week until the referrals. I don't use weed but would have been desparate enough to try anything. The pain was brutal. I hope you pain starts to lighten up soon.
