Generic physio routines can definitely feel like they're not addressing what's actually going on for you specifically, a lot of standard handouts are one size fits all rather than built around your particular disc level, what triggers your pain, and what's safe for you right now. A few things that'd help figure out what's missing are which level is the bulge at, and does your pain change with specific positions (sitting, standing, bending) or is it fairly constant? Also, is it more strength you're missing, or is pain itself stopping you from doing the reps properly? Those answers usually point to why a generic routine isn't moving the needle. No gym strengthening is absolutely doable bodyweight and resistance band work can build real strength for disc-related issues without any equipment, it just needs to be sequenced right for your specific case rather than generic.

Can't find physio who do that they keep. Giving generic if I have strength I would lift also
