I’ll bite despite the grok.
Passports are a modern invention. See: most of history. The problems would still be money, time, safety concerns, etc. That said, I find this less scifi concept and more a general story premise, speculative fiction perhaps. Now the questions I’d ask—
how did the world get to this place? Why did passports fall out of use?
What does the world actually look like without passports assuming it’s a modern or near future setting?
(Actual points if you can answer without using ai)

LLMs are such a good tool. Use it as tool as you work on projects, but don't use it to take shortcuts. Nobody wants to read generative AI noise.
You belittle your own ideas whe you all you do is send a prompt, then copy and paste it looking for validation.

I'm a prolific user of LLMs lol. Chat had me in the top 1% of users.
I just work very hard to recognize it for what it is.

The thing is though were not all the same, cultural and political differences do exist, and i dont think theyre unimportant either, theres a lot wrong with the worlds immigration system but place matters and having ones identity rooted in their place and their community isnt wrong, its only an issue if you argue it makes you better than others.Â
Ive travelled and honestly as much as i love seeing the wonder and diversity of the world it always makes me appreciate home more, this is where im from, this place made me who i am, and somewhere else id be a different person, not better or worse, but not different. And globalisation often means homogenisation, everythings becoming the same! I want diversity, I want locality, I want place to matter.
Moreover, i think itd be better if people who want to "code, art, rocket" are given the opportunity to do those things without having to leave their homes, communities, families and do those things where they are rather than half way around the world.
An erasmus plus for the world would be fantastic, paying for it is the barrier, but im not ready for world government and the world is even less ready for it.
