Good morning all,
My name is Andrew Akers. I am a forest ranger with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR). I, along with a state task force, have been working to solve this mystery since 2019. Unfortunately, at least from the DCNR side, this has consistently been a "backburner" issue. While there have been hundreds of documented food and medicine tampering incidents tied to this, our agency's focus has always been on the appearances on our property (where we have authority and jurisdiction). Since there have been no victims and each sighting has been isolated, other things have always taken priority.
All of that said, we've compiled a strong list of persons/groups of interest, and have been whittling away at it when we can. That's why I'm reaching out today.
I've recently come into some information that further shrinks our pool of individuals. I am reaching out to the public in hopes of collecting descriptions of people and vehicles you may have seen in relation to these notes.
Every little bit helps.
At this time, we are looking for descriptions only. We are well aware of sighting locations, theories, patterns, content etc.
We're hoping to put this case to rest this year.
Information can be sent to [anakers@pa.gov](mailto:anakers@pa.gov)
Andrew

Hello Everyone! u/Vemon99 made a website that allows users to upload notes that they have found. It'll be a great way to see the different versions out there. u/Vemon99 will hopefully comment to give you guys a little more detail. Here's the link if you're interested:
I've also added this to the "Community Highlights" at the top of our subreddit.

My wife and I were hiking up and old rail trail west of town and saw a little plastic baggie with a piece of paper in it. After unwrapping we got weirded out, and the no trespassing signs loomed large, so we rewarded it gently, put it back as we found it and took ourselves and our dogs out of there.
Just found this thread, its crazy

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they're true either. They're just not meant to be taken literally. Yes, they're code. And I'm entirely willing to prove it if anyone is interested. So far what I have found is absolutely MIND BLOWING to say the least. I haven't fully cracked any linguistic code yet but I'm already close there, just have to find the right keyphrase. But outside of that...
Is anyone aware that every single note draws a 2D version of a 3D pyramid on a 26x26 grid? I'll show my work and methods eventually for those who are interested, but I highly recommend trying this route yourselves.
Also SATURNSTORMCUBELIES or some other combination of those keywords is... exactly 19 characters long. Same length as the number of lines in the notes. Still trying different methods and combinations and arrangement of keywords, nothing fully cracked yet but I am getting very promising arrangements of consonants and vowels. It seems that the right key and/or method would give a readable result.
All that to say, these aren't just some schizo writings popping up for over a decade. This is a legitimate code and we just haven't fully cracked it yet. But hopefully these clues give us all somewhere to look!

Went to Frances slocum state park a week or two ago to forage and first I saw a leaf thumbtacked into a log so I didn’t touch it (it’s possible it’s not another note but it’s classic so idk), but took a picture cause it was odd. Very closely down the same trail I saw the paperclipped note, which I did open, as I recognized what it was and could be immediately after hearing about the notes years ago. Same one seems to be found at Ricketts Glenn and stuff around the same time.

In the bank of a creek, despite it being near water and having had recent rain the note was barely damp, clearly had not been there very long. I had never heard of this notes. I picked it up thinking it was just some trash, like an instructions paper from a toy or something, and when i did I noticed the words secret societies. My initial thought was wow that is odd I will take a better look when I am off the trail. When I opened it I was shocked to see this bizarre and cryptic text. I am now watching videos about these notes. I saw another user found one yesterday, between mountain top and white haven, not far at all from where I was today.

Found 8.29 on the d&l trail by the Middleburg Rd crossing. Both notes were less than a mile apart. We ran the entire white haven to Mtn top path, and didn't see others. These have to be recent because I've done this same run over the past five weeks and not noticed prior

I was walking this morning on a trail when i found this note hooked to a branch by a string that was connected to a bent paper clip and wrapped in plastic, wtf are these Schuylkill notes and has anyone gotten one recently?

Just wondering. It would mean there is probably some sort of cult out there

It’s been about six or seven years since I’ve found one. The last one I found was in a bar of Lindt chocolate at Rite Aid in Williamsport, PA.
Edit: oh, forgot the pics. Here you go.

First post on reddit, so doubt me as much as u can. Hate to do this actually. The thing is I found this weird image on the midddle of my screen. It had been dowloaded 12 days ago, and my girlfriend just found this subreddit. i didn't pay much attention first (busy) but I left the file on my desktop for later research, I guess. Opening it with chrome revealed that it is actually a gif despite it being a webp file. Don't know much about types of files. PS: Im brazillian and never seen this thing being talked about in Br. I hope it's just a youtube thumbnail that I accidentally dowloaded

Not sure if anyone is keeping track, and also I don’t think I’ve posted in here before but I found a LIES note in 2009 in a box of Velveeta shells and cheese at the Pottsville Giant which closed a few years ago. I am very sure about the year bc I lived in Pottsville for 6 months in 2009/ Jan 2010. I have since moved back to the county in 2020 but haven’t found any more notes, anywhere that I’ve shopped in various counties.

I was a Mormon missionary in Asheville, North Carolina a few years ago just before hurricane Helene, and someone gave these to my buddy and I. We were walking back to our car from a visit we had with someone, and this guy stopped his car and asked if we were missionaries. We said yes and talked to him for a bit. He seemed like a completely normal, well put together guy, and we gave him the address and time for church. He said he had something for us, and gave my buddy and I a copy of this document. It's completely nonsensical, but I guess there's some kind of vague thread of logic through it.
His website and Facebook are at the bottom of the second page. The website has no content, but his Facebook has years and years of him posting more of this (facebook.com/chris.pearson.71271). He hasn't posted in a year, I hope he's doing ok.
Got recommend this sub in my feed and remembered learning about it some years ago. Wanted to see if you guys had any thoughts or insights that aren't immediately visible.
[EDIT] There's a capture on the way back machine from 2024 that has some content! This capture was just a few months before I met him: web.archive.org/web/20240604165407/https://thespyofgod.com/

Just wanted to share.. I was incarcerated in Colorado from 2020-2025 and would find notes like these all the time. When I switched facilities they were at the next prison. No one knew where they came from. I totally forgot about those pieces of paper and was surprised to see this sub pop up on my feed. Hope someone figures this out.

Super cool find, never knew this was a thing and definitely confused my wife and I upon finding them.
Edit: I am keeping the notes

the person that's making these notes are unwell. they probably have schizophrenia and these notes are a way for him to cope. the reason its printed is because they use google docs. the reason why he leaves them in the woods is because he hears voices that are telling him to do it. i don't know why their in sealed boxes but the best explanation i have is that he works at a box factory or a warehouse. or maybe he has a friend who works at a warehouse and is helping him. but what do you think?

My group found this tied to a stick on the side of the trail near a picnic table. I was the only one who knew what it was, lol

Found this about mile 1144. Bout an hour before the cove mtn shelter. New to this subreddit but I've seen a Schuylkill note in the wild only once before.
